The calculator processes everything locally. Course names, credits and grades you enter are handled by JavaScript in your browser and are never transmitted to us.
So that a refresh does not erase your work, those entries are saved in your browser's local storage under the key gpaCalculator.state.v1. That data stays on your device; we cannot read it and it is not shared with anyone. You can delete it at any time with the calculator's clear button or by clearing site data in your browser. In private browsing mode it disappears when you close the window.
The share-link feature encodes your entries in the fragment (the part after #) of a URL. By web standards fragments are not sent to servers, so we never receive them — but the link itself contains your grades, so choose who you send it to.
There is no registration or login, so we do not collect names, student numbers or institutional affiliations.

For aggregate traffic figures we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and writes no identifier to your device. It does not fingerprint, does not track across sites and is not used for advertising — it reports page views, referrers and device categories in aggregate only. Google Analytics is not installed and there are no _ga cookies.
The site has integrated Google AdSense, so advertising cookies such as __gads, IDE and DSID may be set. The real publisher ID is recorded in ads.txt.
To keep the site free we have integrated Google AdSense. The real publisher ID (pub-1513383223456354) is already recorded in ads.txt.
Some pages link to external sites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices; read their policies before providing information to them.
This site is aimed at university and secondary students and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their personal information, and will delete any that comes to our attention.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what information is held about you, to obtain a copy, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to its processing. This policy may be updated. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date, and any change involving advertising or new cookies will be published before it takes effect.
